25 Years of Outkast. In a Cup.
Stankonia turned 25 in October 2025. To honor the album that put ATL on the map and pulled hip-hop into a new century, portrait.mom partnered with Outkast on a limited-edition tribute: a coffee, a collection of merch, and a reminder that some records keep playing long after the spin.
The Album
Released in October 2000, Stankonia was Outkast's fourth studio album and the one that flipped the table. Funk, futurism, gospel, electronic, Southern soul, all stitched together into something that didn't sound like Atlanta hip-hop until Stankonia came out and made it sound exactly like that. "Ms. Jackson," "B.O.B.," and "So Fresh, So Clean" became part of the cultural vocabulary. The Grammy for Best Rap Album followed in 2002. Twenty-five years later, the record still feels twenty-five years ahead.
The Coffee
Stankonia Coffee is a blend of East African Rwanda and Latin American Colombia, processed through both experimental natural and washed methods. The cup is bright, layered, and full of rhythm: green apple, strawberry, and brown sugar across a medium roast designed for drip, pour-over, or espresso. The sourcing mirrors the record. Two regions, two processes, one cup that surprises you on every listen.

The Stankonia collaboration extends beyond the bag. The full collection includes:
